Acoustic Considerations for Data Center Power Plants

The rapid growth of data centers in the US is changing the energy landscape due to cloud computing, AI, machine learning, and high-density digital workloads. Power use is rising at a rate that hasn't been seen in decades. Many areas are turning to…

What Plant Managers Need to Know About Industrial Ductwork

Industrial ductwork rarely gets the attention it deserves. While turbines, boilers, and major rotating equipment tend to dominate maintenance planning, the ductwork connecting these systems is quietly absorbing the same extreme temperatures, gas…

Reducing Risk and Downtime During Industrial Outages

Industrial outages, whether they are planned turnarounds or unexpected shutdowns, are among the most critical events in a facility's lifecycle. Every hour offline represents lost production, while rushed or poorly executed repairs can create…

At SVI BREMCO, safety isn't just a policy—it's part of our culture. That commitment was recently recognized when we earned RAVS® Plus certification through ISNetworld, a prestigious verification process that sets contractors apart in health, safety,…

The Importance of Noise Modeling Software for Industrial Plants

An industrial plant's acoustical footprint can be a dynamic and complicated environment. For gas power plants, in particular, a complex list of noise sources needs to be considered. For a combined cycle power plant, there are major noise sources…

How Can Exhaust Stack Screens Prevent Outages and Improve Safety?

Every industrial site carries inherent safety risks that require constant monitoring and control in case of emergencies. Among the various hazards that industrial plant employees encounter is managing gas turbine exhaust systems and stack…

Why Upgrade Turbine Exhaust Silencer Insulation to Acoustical Pillows?

Reducing noise efficiently is critical for smooth operations in gas turbine power plants. Traditional exhaust silencers, with their parallel baffle setups, have effectively met noise standards amidst the challenges of turbine exhaust. However, with…

Tube Leak Repairs in South Carolina: Project Brief

SVI BREMCO performed tube leak repairs (ASME R stamp welding) and tube replacements at a power plant located in South Carolina. Multiple tubes had leaks and were replaced or repaired.

Considerations When Choosing a Vent Silencer

Vent silencers are implements that decrease noise levels from fluids at an exhaust point. Industrial facilities create high levels of noise at these exhaust points, sometimes around a safety valve, because high-pressure gas emissions meet…

How to Find Tube Leaks in the Superheater

Over half of boiler outages occur because of tube leaks, and boiler outages are the major cause of generation loss in power plants. When tube leakage occurs in the superheater and reheater, it is even more serious. That’s why power plants must be…

Upgrade Your OEM Exhaust System

Looking for options to upgrade your legacy combustion turbine exhaust system?  Legacy/OEM exhaust systems could have inherent design issues that can be resolved by upgrading with present day methods and materials.
