Common Repairs Performed in Combined Cycle HRSG Plants

Combined cycle power plants are a popular choice in the power industry for electricity production. They offer better efficiency than other options like gas turbines or steams turbines alone. The combined cycle power plant (CCPP) involves two…

Why Do Combined Cycle Gas Plant Silencers Fail?

There are multiple sources of noise within combined cycle gas power plants (CCPP) that have to be addressed so they stay under the maximum noise level that a plant is permitted to have. In CCPPs, like simple cycle power plants, you will find…

How a Simple Cycle Plant Can Run More Efficiently and Get a Better ROI

The availability and reliability of equipment at simple cycle plants have a direct effect on the performance of the plant as a whole. As a result, proper operation of equipment, up to or exceeding its life span, is crucial to maximize the return on…

Maintenance Needs for Your Simple Cycle Plant

At all power plants, staying on top of maintenance is complicated and challenging, but it’s also essential for efficiency and safety. Power plants require comprehensive, organized maintenance procedures to ensure that downtime is minimal, and…

Safety Issues to Watch for in Your Simple Cycle Exhaust System

As with any industrial facility, there are certain safety risks present in simple cycle gas plants that must be monitored and mitigated when there is an issue.

Preventing Downtime at Your Simple Cycle Gas Plant

Do you know how much one hour of unplanned downtime costs your power plant? While the actual number may be different across various types and sizes of plants, its significance and impact are universal. Every second that your simple cycle plant is…

How Selective Catalytic Reduction Systems Work
